Le Concours Reine Elisabeth s'adresse aux musiciens dont la formation est déjà confirmée et qui sont prêts à se lancer dans une carrière internationale. Les disciplines abordées sont le piano, le chant, le violon et la composition. Les concours d'interprétation ont lieu tous les trois ans et le concours de composition avant chaque session instrumentale. Les ouvres lauréates du concours de composition sont imposées lors des sessions de piano et de violon.

FFCM - Fédération Française des Concours de Musique.
Les concours constituent une activité musicale internationale majeure. La France, cependant, contrairement à de nombreux autres pays, mesure mal la richesse qu'ils représentent, conduisant ainsi les pouvoirs publics et les grands media à une sorte de bienveillante indifférence. Cette situation doit évoluer. Afin de relever ce défi, plusieurs concours français se sont associés pour fonder la FFCM (Fédération Française des Concours de Musique). De nombreuses missions s'imposent à la nouvelle Fédération: la sensibilisation des responsables ministériels, tant à la Culture qu'aux Affaires étrangères, mais aussi de la presse, des télévisions et des radios ainsi que des entreprises-mécènes; la mise en commun de l'expérience acquise par les plus anciennes compétitions dans le domaine de l'information, de l'organisation, du contact international; la coordination des calendriers des concours-membres; la perspective de règles assurant la rigueur des choix et la lisibilité des résultats; la mise en place de manifestations spécifiques destinées à présenter à un large public les lauréats des concours français.
La FFCM compte actuellement seize concours-membres et trois membres associés (le Conservatoire national supérieur de musique de Paris, le Conservatoire national supérieur de musique de Lyon et la Cité de la Musique).

La Fédération Mondiale de Concours Internationaux de Musique représente 122 organisations dans le monde entier qui se consacrent à la découverte et à la promotion des jeunes musiciens d'aujourd'hui les plus prometteurs. Le siège de la Fédération est à Genève (Suisse) où elle a été fondée en 1957. L'adhésion à la Fédération est réservée aux concours satisfaisant aux normes musicales et organisationnelles élevées qui figurent dans nos statuts et recommandations. C'est là notre garantie que musiciens et publics peuvent s'attendre au meilleur dans les concours qui portent le sceau de la FMCIM.

Il Maestro Gianni Bergamo ha voluto iniziare questo premio augurandosi che possa diventare un punto di riferimento e un sostegno concreto a giovani musicisti di talento provenienti da tutto il mondo.Il concorso è aperto in forma ciclica ai seguenti ambiti: composizione, strumento/voce, musica da camera. Ai premiati del concorso di composizione - che avranno la possibilità di presentare i loro lavori in un concerto con l'ensemble recherche - verrà dato l'incarico di comporre i brani d'obbligo dei successivi concorsi strumentali e di musica da camera.

The Haverhill Sinfonia Soloist Competition began as a modest occasion in 1990 but, has developed into a prestigious event and is now an established date in music diaries, which annually attracts a broad medley of artists of the highest calibre from the UK and abroad. The Competition was devised with the intention of providing a public platform for talent which might otherwise go unheard and to give worthy musicians the opportunity to acquire experience of solo performing, whether or not a professional career is envisaged, also to encourage the pursuance of classical music among listeners and performers. Die Internationale Kammermusikakademie macht es sich zur Aufgabe, junge Musiker in der Kunst der Kammermusik als eine der schönsten Formen musikalischer Kommunikation auszubilden. Das Besondere an dem Meisterkurs ist, dass in acht intensiven Arbeitstagen hochbegabte Pianisten, Violonisten und Cellisten Unterricht von allen drei Professoren erhalten. Die Schwerpunkte der Arbeit liegen neben der Lösung instrumentalspezifischer Aufgaben auf der Erörterung von Fragen nach dem Wie kammermusikalischer Konzeption und Interpretation. Tactus. Young composers are often faced with the same problem when writing for a symphony orchestra: the orchestra itself, a strong, costly "instrument" that is not readily available. The commissions are generally awarded to experienced and well known composers. Without orchestral experience, the knowledge necessary to acquire the basic writing techniques for a large orchestra cannot be developed. It is a vicious circle. The Young Composers' Forum sets out to allow young composers to develop their knowledge of the symphony orchestra as well as their familiarity with symphonic forms. The Forum was created for this purpose in close collaboration with the Belgian National Orchestra and its Musical Director, Maestro Mikko Franck, the Queen Elisabeth Competition and the Concertgebouw Brugge. Reading sessions for young composers will be organised every two years.

Sendai International Music Competition. The Sendai International Music Competition started in 2001 to commemorate the 400 th anniversary of the foundation of Sendai City. The competition, which is held every three years, aims to boost the careers of talented young musicians, and thereby contributing to the promotion of music and international cultural exchange. The SIMC consists of two sections, violin and piano, that have unique aspects focusing on concertos in the selection of its repertoire. The fair judgment by world famous musicians is highly trusted, with authentic management in accordance with the rules by the World Federation of International Music Competitions.
