Noemi Lapzeson.

Né à Buenos Aires, à 16 ans est parti pour NYC étudier la danse et la musique à la Juilliard School. Elle est entré à la compagnie de Martha Graham une année plus tard comme la plus jeune de ses interprètes. Restée 12 ans dans la compagnie, comme soliste et professeur. Invitée à Londres pour créer une école et une compagnie, elle a travaillé comme danseuse, professeur et chorégraphe dans la London Contemporary Theatre and School.

Elle a voyagé au Canada, en Israel, en Amérique du Sud et dans les pays de l'Est. Installée à Genève en 1980, elle donne des cours au ballet du Grand Théâtre, au Conservatoire Populaire, à l'Institue Dalcroze et au studio du Grütli. Elle a crée l'ADC et la compagnie Vertical Danse en 1989 avec laquelle réalise plus de 30 chorégraphies. En 1992, elle a reçu le prix Romand pour les compagnies independents, en 2002, le Prix Suisse de chorégraphie et en 1999 la prestigieuse bourse de la John Simon Guggenheim Foundation à New York, reconnaissance internationale de son parcours et de sa démarche artistique engagée et très personnelle.

Au printemps 2007, elle a reçu le Prix quadriennal de la Ville de Genève.
